Peruvian revenge is here.
I don’t know much about Peruvian metal except for the classic South American band Hadez. But Evil Damn is here to repair this historic injustice.
Brutal unrelenting and satanic above all, these cats come to wreck havoc on the very structures of Death/Black Metal
They have a strong South American accent, mainly Brazilian with hints of (old) Sepultura, Sarcófago and Sextrash.
Caller of Abomination, the first song is a brutal attack on the hordes of Christ, and the second song – Embrace By Death – with its syncopated drums and the blast beats (which Brazilians proudly call “metranca”, – resembling the sound of a machine gun) and riffs remembering the heyday of South American metal makes the happiness of those who long for the days of yore.
Last song Black Effigy is a statement to pure death/black sound, no compromise and overall a decent a production where all instruments are audible.
This EP is a perfect starter for the things to come. Diabolic and cruel, this is not for newcomers: GO AWAY!
Black Effigy is out now on Hells Headbangers.
