Repulsive Dissection – Church of the Five Precious Wounds – Sevared Records

The Church of Brutal Technical Death Metal.

Disgraceful “international” band Repulsive Dissection comes back with their sophomore album Church of the Five Precious Wounds which counts with Victor Prokofjevs (ex- Bludgeon UK), Davide “BrutalDave” Billia (Hour of Penance), Tom Bradfield (Twitch of the Death Nerve) and Yura Kowalchuk (Intoxicated). This a dream team of brutal death metal, with members of the bands I myself admire, and this makes me really excited.

I’m really not sure of the title of this CD means since I cannot understand a word of what is “sung”, and I hope it’s a message contrary to the religion. I do.

Lyrical content concerns apart, this is really brutal, and unbridled death metal.

The vocalizations are in the vein of Devourment, the velocity is in the vein of Napalm Death plus Suffocation and technicality is not sub par to bands such as Cryptopsy. This is the best of ALL POSSIBLE worlds, plus of course, they put their experience as allumini of their repective and raddest bands.

Honestly there is not a highlight in the middle of bulldozing metal that is presented here: strident guitar solos, machine gun drumming, infernal bass lines, bear with toothache vocals… Everything here is EXPLOSIVE.

This is one of the best Death Metal releases of the year, real quality noise that shouldn’t remain unnoticed by the great audiences… If you’re into brutal and tech this is your weapon of choice. Nuff said.

Church of the Five Precious Wounds is out TODAY (October 1st ) on Sevared Records.
