Is Malcolm “Back in Black”? AC/DC new album to feature the late guitarist.

Sources say while Brian Johnson is definitely back on track, some riffs by Malcolm will be utilized by the band.

No date is set for the release of the upcoming nameless album featuring Brian Johnson, but radio personality Eddie Trunk says he has a source reliable enough to say that while recording in Canada the band is utilizing riffs made by Malcolm Young and building the sounds over them. It’s not exactly a surprise given the technology we have today that permitted that Pink Floyd made the very same thing in their last album The Endless River (2014) utilizing Rick Wright material who died back in 2008.

According to Trunk, however, the enigmatic source doesn’t know if they will go on tour after that or if Axl Rose (who filled for Johnson live) will return.

Malcolm Mitchell Young died on November 18th, 2017.

Axl/DC: because AC/DC is fucking dead.

First appearance in Lisbon showed the obvious: AC/DC is no more.

Money talks, it really does. When the news about Axl Rose started circulating in the media that he was to be the front man of AC/DC people just laughed. True or not true, it was fun to read that on the interwebs after all. But the truth appears when the show begins.

AC/DC, one the greatest and most influential bands in the world made the big mistake of making a decadent rock star their singer. The losers (and I’m not being a bigot here, because I fucking love Portuguese people, I even speak Portuguese) were the people from Lisbon who witnessed a freakshow: Axl trying to imitate Brian Johnson and Bon Scott were (and is) ludicrous beyond belief. (Although the fans – more Axl fans than die-hard AC/DC fans were excited to see Axl/DC firing their Guns of Roses… I know the pun is terrible and so was the show)

Yeah, I know history: for years fans complained the Johnson was no Scott. Now I’m sure that they know they were pretty wrong on their point of view. If Brian is no Bon, Axl is not even ROCK.

Money really talks, and Angus Young is showing a clear message to his fans: c’mon, love me for the money.

Udo Dirkschneider would have been the perfect man for the post. But as it seems he’s not so famous and doesn’t attract more female fans as Axl Rose does. But if one had to choose the wrong side, hell, AC/DC should have picked Rihanna. Her music is terrible, but at least she has beautiful legs. Axl is chair bound because he broke a metatarsal. I didn’t know that metatarsal had anything to do with delivering a ridiculous performance.

AC/DC ‎– Rock Or Bust – Columbia

Against the grain, another classic!!!

This album had all elements to be a flop even for the behemothic force that is arguably the greatest rock band on Earth: AC/DC. The case of dementia of Malcolm Young leaving him out of the game (even though he signs the tracks along with his brother Angus) and being replaced by his nephew Steve Young. Besides the prison of their drummer – Phil Rudd –  (who actually plays drums here) made international news in the greatest media outlets in the world. Yet, AC/DC packed a helluva album with anthems, and although always maintaining the tradition, I can say that this is their best album since Ballbreaker!

The first track, Rock or Bust is an upbeat (what else is new?) song that is an instant hit right in the rocker’s face!

Play Ball with the signature solos of Angus Young has been released as a single before, but they make the party of die-hards here!

Rock the Blues Away is more like their famous track Moneytalks, and in a track like Dogs of War they go on full heavy hard rock, that is pure “fists-in-the-air” song!

But Got Some Rock & Roll Thunder is even more anthemic, although they try to make it smoothly, they play rough and the rock and roll is the only thing left here! Perfect even for AC/DC own patterns.

Another terrific one is the penultimate track Sweet Candy that could be the opener of the disc (without risk!). The track brings back again the momentum of the first tracks! What a killer and delicious riff!!!

Against the odds, AC/DC made another perfect score and another classic album which is going to stay for eternity as a corollary of band that has behind them the greatest tracks ever recorded by living human beings!

Rock Or Bust is being released TODAY on Columbia.
